State of Pentium4 optimization in v3.4.0?

Subject: State of Pentium4 optimization in v3.4.0?

When GCC v3.2.0 was new I read on this list that, the new -pentium4 switch 
notwithstanding, actual Pentium4 optimization wasn't really in place and 
probably wouldn't be until v3.4.

Now that v3.4.0 has been released I would like to revisit this topic.  
What is the state of Pentium4-specific optimization in GCC?
