I'm not a gcc maintainer, so you don't have to give my opinion very
much weight.
I sent in my the list of dwarf-1 targets to clear up the issue of what
to do about targets that still use dwarf-1 as their primary debug
format. (Answer: there are none, so there is no problem). Zack asked
for a similar list of sdb targets, so I made one. That doesn't mean I
endorse the removal of sdb!
IMHO there are so many targets that prefer sdb as their primary debug
format that it is not even worth talking about the removal of sdb yet.
Give it 6-12 months before even TALKING about it.
I'd rather spend my time writing up a complete list of debug info
regressions from gcc 3.3.2 to gcc HEAD on native i686-pc-linux-gnu and
filing PR's for each of them. That's more important to me than talking
about sdb.
And it's great that DJ is working on support for dwarf-2 in djgpp.
