Hi everyone.

Is anyone able to estimate *when* the breakage started? For sure, there are *no* recent changes involving threads in the libstdc++-v3 directory proper!

Perhaps (just a guess!) something having to do with Nathanael Nerode toplevel build changes? There were many specifically targeting threads back in October, see gcc/Changelog
