Frankly, I'm glad for the delay. I've got a fair number of
not-just-bugfixes which are extremely low risk which I'm working on for
the configury/build stuff, and the more I can get into 3.4, the better.
I also think that the various types of cleanup work (conversion to ISO
C, etc.) which have been going on should continue a bit longer for 3.4
since they're low risk / high reward, but not technically bugfixes.
The 'toplevel bootstrap' might even be able to go in, since I can set up
the rules for it *in parallel* with the rules for the current bootstrap,
making it very low risk. (Once it's ready, that is.)
I'm already at a 'commit nothing destablizing' status, and I think
everyone else is too, so having a little extra time to make stablizing
improvements is rather nice.
