Agreed.

Let's assume that Kean had written one of the following:

 - "This obviously-correct change affects C only."
 - "I can't find a non-proprietary test case for this."
 - "The C test case is below" without adding it to our testsuite.
 - An explanation of the problem followed by "Fixed by".

Only 1/2 :-}

I'm all for testcases, but I'm all against being especially strict
when it comes to new contributors when we are lenient in other cases.
