I built upon Matthias' work some time ago and came up with a Linux->MC6809
cross-compiler (technically a Linux->Thomson cross-compiler, Thomson being
an old French computer of the 80's) based on gcc 2.95.3, so you might want
to take a look at it (the page is in French though):
