Is it worth to mention that this is a special kernel?
Plain MacOS 10.2.3 reports as powerpc-darwin6.3. And with this kernel (6.3) your're not able to reproduce the test results you send.

I'm aware that this will be solved in the next major release, if I'm right.

But only to tell people that they don't get frustrated when they try to reproduce your results.
