I have built GCC 3.2 (C,C++) on AIX 4.3.
$ ./config.guess
powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.3.0
$ ./gcc -v

./../lib/gcc-lib/powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.3.0/3.2/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.2/configure
--prefix=/p/benjamin/usr/gcc32
--enable-languages=c,c++ --enable-threads=aix
