boostrapping Ada

Maybe it's a stupid idea but I guess gcc produces an internal machine-
independent representation as an intermediate step. Would it not be
possible to save this in a file and ship it for the Ada parts and use it
in bootstrapping to avoid having to install GNAT binaries before
bootstrapping?
