attempt at documenting the process behind most free software or open
source efforts.  See also <http://www.gnu.org/> for extensive information
about the GNU project; under "How you can help us get there" are more
specific documents about the standards and processes of developing
software for the GNU project.

There is a growing amount of literature available on the general topic of
free software development; a web search for "free software" or "open
source" will turn up quite a lot of it.
