Ok, I got the newer version of the gnupro assembler that you sent, but got
the same results when I tried it. This is what I did:
ln -s /opt/gnupro/new-as gcc/as
make clean-target-libstdc++-v3
make all-target-libstdc++-v3
sudo bash
make install
/usr/sbin/slibclean
