Got one question:
Should I go ahead and make gcc-30-alpha (my name for it, because it should
be made first out of the 3.0 sources and gcc should remain gcc 2.95.3 for
now until 3.0.1) and have it compile the new snapshots?

Since 3.0.1 is probably going to happen in the near future, we should
probably leave
the snapshots coming off the branch.
