You probably *can* keep everyone happy, by providing the flexibility
through (hopefully just one) command line option. It would just
require a bit of flexibility in the diagnostic printing code to do it
different ways.
Dejagnu still breaks when cpplib puts column numbers after the line
numbers. That's really annoying.
