I agree, however please be aware that the glibc people have had
serious problems with the EH runtime in the past. So they are
gun-shy.
Everyone in this discussion should search the mailing list archives
for "__register_frame_info" and read all of the threads. The present
discussion is very much a retread of Dec 1998.
