Or, to bring up the least pleasant possibility, forked. Having gcc
serve as the basis of a dynamic compiling system would require it being a
library, and is a worthwhile goal IMO. A goal that might make forking
worth considering for some folks (considering the alternative of writing
another widely portable compiler system).
