Successful install on Solaris 2.7

   gcc 2.95-1 install went cleaner than gcc 2.95 
   (we had weird linking problems with the latter).

   However, the bugs I discovered with 2.95 are still
   in 2.95-1 ... see the bug report w sample code in gcc-bugs
