Would it be possible to publish something about the load of the
machine over the day ? So it would be easier to connect at a time when
the load is supposed to be lower than usual.
Maybe two cron jobs. One like
0,30 * * * * w | head -1 >>/tmp/bla
and one like
1 0 * * 0,2,4,6 MAIL "egcs anonymous CVS load" egcs@egcs.cygnus.com </tmp/bla; rm -f /tmp/bla
Where "MAIL" is the mail utility that knows how to supply a subject
(mail -s,mailx -s,mutt -s...).
this said,
(mk)
PS: And probably it would help to know what other CVS packages this
machine hosts, if any.
