No long ago, i have adapted Otto Lind's work to work (compile) with
egcs-1.1.1b and the standalone 6811 assembler/linker combination
and yes, it even produced some (hopefully) correct code for
the tests i've done.
But to have the assembler/linker integrated in the binutils is of course
the better approach.
Do you have diffs around against egcs-1.1.2 and binutils-2.9.1.??.?? ?
