Who is responsible for this mess? It is hard to clean it up, since
there are so many errors that the author's intensions are unclear.
rth and I are responsible, I couldn't agree with you more that the
v8plus stuff is a mess and I came --><-- this close to ripping all of
the v8plus stuff out of the sparc backend when I rewrote it, because
the v8plus patterns were checked in even though it was highly
untested.
