Newer version of dejagnu OK to use?

On http://egcs.cygnus.com/install/test.html there's a link to download a
snapshot of dejagnu for use is running the EGCS testsuite. In the same
directory at the ftp site there's a snapshot about 6 months more recent
than the one pointed to by the URL above.
Is it ok to use the newer version of dejagnu? I'm wondering if there are
known problems with the new code or if the Web page has just not been
updated.
