Thank you for your kind note.  I do not require additional information,
but, as you were kind enough to share this information with me, I feel
obligated to share with you some further information of which you might
not be aware.

I sincerely regret to inform you that I did not send such a message.
Most likely it was an automated message sent by the CVS server at
egcs.cygnus.com to a mailing list subscribed to by someone with an
account on your server.  It is sad that they will not receive the
information they so urgently requested.

While it is disturbing that this automated server would use my email
address so casually, this is a pittance compared to the distress I
feel to learn that, as I don't have an account on your server, I am
listed in one or more of your suppression files.  If there is
_anything_ I can do to recover from this shameful state, please be
so generous as to share that with me.
