What exactly did you do? And what happened? I.e., did you receive any
error message or automatic reply?
You should be able to subscribe by means of a mail to
egcs-bugs-request@cygnus.com
with a message body of
subscribe egcs-bugs pastel@vuse.vanderbilt.edu
