Is anyone working on -mcpu=*sparc fixes?

I have run into numerous problems using the -mcpu=ultrasparc or supersparc
options in both the egcs releases and the cvs trunk.  I was just wondering
if there are any plans to fix these soon.  I really need the additional
optimizations that these switches turn on.  Thank you for any information
you might have.
