David,
for mips-sgi-irix6.x you should definitely not
follow my instructions for gcc-2.7.y.z. In particular
- do not use GNU-AS (it does not support n32, the egcs
default for 6.x)
- do not define SGI_ABI=-32
egcs should build out of the box without any special\
tricks. What was your configure line?
