Now that egcs-1.0.2 has been released one week ago, I guess, nobody
really cares about this issue anymore.
I'm very sorry that still no libstdc++-2.8.1.1 and libg++-2.8.1.1 have
been released, they are finished and it's on Richard Kenner to copy
them to ftp.gnu.org. Unfortunately, he'll be absent 'til Sunday.
Anyway, those particular shared libs will continue to use 2.8 as their
version number and 2.8.1.1 for the file's version number. I just
compared the current egcs snapshot with libstdc++-2.8.1.1, and in
fact, libio and libstdc++ are almost identical.
Since libstdc++.so.2.8.1 is out now, I suggest, we'd raise egcs's
version number for lib{io/stdc++} to at least 2.8.1.2
What do you think?
