Hi,
I succesfully compiled and installed egcs-1.0.1 as a second compiler
(first is gcc-2.7.2.2)
uname -a:
Linux beta 2.0.33 #1 Sun Jan 11 15:46:19 CET 1998 i486 unknown
machine:
AMD486-80MHz/32MB RAM, VLB-bus, the fastest machine in the whole kitchen
Compile-time: Don't know, I was sleeping whole night.
config.guess > :
i486-pc-linux-gnulibc1
libs & bins:
libc-5.4.38,
binutils-2.8.10.15
Special configure flags: --enable-shared
I think that warning of binary incompatibility between new and old
libstdc++ should be more emphasized in docs.
(
i.e.
libQt compiled with gcc +
kdelibs compiled with egcs =
kde applications (supposed to be linked against kdelibs & Qtlib) cannot
be linked.
)
