Problem with dejagnu snapshot...

Hi, I'm having some problems compiling and installing dejagnu 971222.
I already have tcl and tk version 8.0; my include files are
/usr/include/tcl.h and /usr/include/tk.h. However, I get the following
errors below; furthermore, dejagnu attempts to build ANOTHER copy of
libtcl!
Can this be fixed? Here are my errors:
telomere:/usr/local/dejagnu-971222/objdir> ../configure
--prefix=/usr/local/dejagnu
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /usr/local/dejagnu-971222/objdir using
"../config/mt-linux"
configure: warning: Can't find Tk configuration definitions
configure: warning: Can't find Itcl private headers
configure: warning: No X based programs will be built
Any workarounds? I'm using Debian 2.0 (Hamm) w/ libc 2.06, Linux
kernel 2.1.78. I have a PPro 150.
