As you requested, I'm sending a note to tell you that I successfully
built and installed egcs-1.0 on sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1.
This was a much more pleasant experience than when I built gcc 2.7.2.1
(and subsequent).
So far, the compiler has passed all my tests (I'm using the "haifa"
scheduler; it didn't seem to make much difference for my code, but
my code is not very representative).
