1997-12-01 egcs snapshot available

egcs-ss-971201 is now available in ftp.cygnus.com:/pub/egcs/snapshots/1997-12-01
(and on various mirrors shortly, see the home page for mirror sites).
Assuming no major goof's the release will be identical to this snapshot.

What's changed:

	* toplevel INSTALL directory includes html & plaintext
	installation instructions.

	* bugfix to the mips, rs6000 (2), sh, & arm backends

	* bugfix to configure for NCR.

	* EH bugfix.

	* doc changes

I encourage everyone to read the install docs -- either from the web
http://www.cygnus.com/egcs/install or in the INSTALL directory. And
provide any useful feedback you can.

Once we make the release, the version in the INSTALL directory freezes,
but we'll still make updates to the version on the web page (particularly
for any host/target specific installation instructions).

Note, the names of the tarballs will be egcs-1.00.tar.gz when we
put them in the release tree; we will not be putting the .diff files
in the release tree.

You'll find:

  egcs-971201.tar.gz The full egcs snapshot, including all
                                        languages runtime libraries and
                                        testsuites.

  egcs-core-971201.tar.gz Just the C and objc language front ends.

  egcs-g++-971201.tar.gz The g++ language and runtime.

  egcs-g77-971201.tar.gz The g77 language and runtime.

  egcs-objc-971201.tar.gz               The objc runtime.

  egcs-testsuite-971201.tar.gz          The c & g++ testusites.
  egcs-g++-testsuite-971201.tar.gz      The g++ testsuite.
  egcs-g77-testsuite-971201.tar.gz      The g77 testsuite.

Diffs to bring the 971127 to 971201 snapshot are available.
