- Subject: Results for 4.2.2 testsuite on i686-pc-linux-gnu
I compiled gcc 4.2.2 using gcc 4.2.2 built yesterday, but without running the tests.
The new compiling of gcc 4.2.2 stopped one time giving error 129, so I did make bootstrap again and the second time there were no errors.
Since in my home pc there are not MTAs and since mail requires one of them (unless I missed something in the mailx man page), I cut and pasted test_summary output in a message written with sylpheed mail client: I hope this way will not introduce bad formatting for correctly receive my report (I could use sendEmail, but there are some difficulties to adapt this program to the official procedure and I had no time to find a workaround).
My linux distribution is Slackware 12.0 for i486, with glibc 2.5 (recompiled with gcc 4.2.1 optimizing them for athlon-xp).
linux kernel is:
$ uname -a
Linux darkenergy 2.6.23 #1 Wed Oct 10 20:54:17 CEST 2007 i686 AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2800+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
(compiled yesterday with gcc 4.2.2)
$ as -v
GNU assembler version 2.17.50.0.17 (i486-slackware-linux) using BFD version (Linux/GNU Binutils) 2.17.50.0.17.20070615
$ make --version
GNU Make 3.81
$ expect -version
expect version 5.43.0
(I saw that the version of these programs was written in other reports, so I did the same).
My apologies for my rickety report...
Thank you very much for your *excellent* work!
Have a nice day.
Gabriele Inghirami
