Ah, ok :)   Presumably this is conditional on the rest of the OpenACC
work merging?  (AIUI the OpenACC work is not yet on trunk, right?)

If so, perhaps the OpenACC people can adopt the patch and apply it (or
in a modified form) when they merge their work?
