These are all ok if the still bootstrap / regtest ok. I wonder if you could add one or two testcases for the specific new optimizations you mention.

With the target dependent patches in place there are already testcases (without the second and third target independent bits, there would be regressions; without the first, probably i386 would not bootstrap at all).
