Yes, but... It's late in a very long Stage 1. It's Stage 1, and not
Stage 2, because we've wanted to permit particular features (such as IRA
and Tuples) to get into this release, and they've not yet been ready.
My prediction, though of course unprovable, is that we're going to have
a long Stage 3, since historically longer cycles have gotten longer at
every point in the cycle; the more change in Stage 1/2, the more that
needs fixing in Stage 3.
If you, Jakub, and Richard want to put this in, I'm not going to throw
myself in front of the oncoming train. I just don't particularly get
the motivation to do this now and I'm concerned that it sends the
message that now is a good time for this kind of work, when it seems to
me we should be working to get these big projects merged, and then lock
it down.
