This patch is *not* trivial.  The RTL dataflow engine in flow.c has known
quirks and we should be conservative in changing how it is invoked.

Again, you didn't get approval for the 4.1 branch, please revert the patch.

There is no formal need of approval for porting regression fixes from the trunk to release branches. If this is good or bad is another question.
