Tested with "make pdf" and "make info" on i686-pc-linux-gnu. Ok for trunk?
From the technical point of view, ok. I never understood if you need a doco maintainer approval too
My take, if one is doing something new and strange, it might be a nice idea, but for most run of the mill updates, no, though, it is nice to be responsive to suggestions for improvements after it goes in.
