Re: ISO_C_BINDING patch commited to fortran-experiments branch

Steve Kargl <sgk@troutmask.apl.washington.edu> wrote on Mon, 18 Dec 2006:
BTW, once the ISO_C_BINDING patch is merged into trunk, this
branch will not go away. It is intended as a sandbox for
large features and experiments. Pault announced his plans to
rework module.c and possibly provide support for submodules.
This branch would be a great place for Paul to do the development.
There is also IEEE 754 support that can be developed on the
branch.

I don't think creating a new branch costs anything, so the current fortran-experiments branch can just be EOLed, once the C bindings are finished. That would avoid a nubmer of possible pilot errors, and make the branches history more transparent.
