Right.  And, even if we hacked GDB to handle this, we'd still have to
worry about other debuggers.  So, I don't think we should do this
either.  But, let's invent a hook so that instead of allocating memory
for zillions of these identifiers, we just splat the name straight into
the assembly file and forget about it.
