I am not interested in a competition. I guess I will just try to
remove the conflicts. Although, I would prefer if Roger reviewed my
changes over his original patch, so I don't undo anything he has done.

Josehp, should I resubmit the patch or have you started to review it?

The usual rule is first one to apply to mainline wins.
