Yes. This was the original mechanism used. Please view the
discussion in the PR26792 and specifically not the changes
made when...

was checked in to use _Unwind_GetIPInfo. You will clearly
seen then that what I have done is simply restore the
previous behavior whenever the _Unwind_GetIPInfo call
is unavailable. This patch has also been examined by
Bryce McKinlay and he had no objections.
