Tobi,
In fact, I should say a little bit more - with half-an-hour's work on
#gcc and your message (+ a few hours of hacking this morning, I must
say!) the derived type patch has improved beyond recognition. Not only
that, due to explaining the story to you, I finally understood one of
the features of building the derived types that had escaped me; the
original patch was right but I was blowed if I could see why. That is
reflected in the comment that I referred to earlier.
Are you going to have time to deal with the constant character length
patch that we discussed at the same time? If not, I would be happy to
deal with it in your name. I will also satisfy Dominique with the SAVE
attribute on default initializers over the next few days...
Auch muss ich dir sagen - Froeliche Weinachten!
... and Happy Christmas, Joyeux Noel, Nadolig Llawen, God Yul, Happy
Channukah, Kung His Hsin Nien bing Chu Shen Tan, Kurisumasu Omedeto,
Nollaig chridheil huibh and, for the pagans, unbelievers and "heathens"
of all kinds, Happy Midwinter Festival.
