Ok.  The 4.0 branch does contain the versions of Logger.java and
natLogger.cc that expose this problem.  I'll check it in over there.

Could you just give me a quick sanity check on Subversion as it treats
branches differently than CVS?  Here's how I understand it: I check
out the sources from /branches/gcc-4_0-branch, apply the patch and
commit in that tree.  This is correct, right?
