I haven't seen the first or c974006 get stuck, but indeed I do have
(at least tentative) fixes for all of these and those are the set that
get stuck.
I believe these are fixed by making sure that static CONSTRUCTORS get into
memory and I've done that in the front end now. So that particular fix
should be checked in.
But with so much middle-end-induced breakage at the moment, I can't tell
for sure what's what.
