Probably not infeasible (from the little I know, I think it's the right thing to do), but definitely
more work and over my head without some guidance. I don't know politically how
this is all playing out, but given that the target date for going to Stage 3 was originally
5 September, I wanted to try to rock the boat as little as possible (which is why my
original patch had a Java-specific ggc-none.c to avoid touching the top-level one).
When I venture into areas I'm not comfortable with and/or affect a lot of people, I
tend to want to tread lightly....
