I added the patch to mainline. I added a comment to explain why the
function call must be at the very end.
I also did an x86-linux bootstrap and make check, since I wasn't clear
if this had already been tested.
The gcc-3.4 branch is frozen at this time, and when it is unfrozen there
may be restrictions on what patches can get installed. I am not
interested in trying to do anything here.
