Or we could make the compiler ten times faster (I think a build cycle of
at most a day would be wanted for such a tester to be particularly
useful).  Mike Stump gave a 36 times faster goal in
<http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2002-08/msg00519.html>.

(I don't think Moore's law will help here; bootstrap/test times seem to
keep pace with it through additional languages, libraries, features and
tests, so I suspect increasing numbers and size of packages in
distributions can do the same.)
