Your patch is one of two ways in which we can proceed. The other
is to change ObjC encoding logic so it consistently encodes 'long' as 'l'.


Personally, I'm leaning towards the latter (and will provide the necessary
patch), but let me ask Apple and GNUStep folks first. Please stay tuned.
