I'm not going to disagree; process can always be improved.

Here are some possible suggestions (I'm just brain-storming here):

	  to make Gabriel Dos Reis a maintainer for the C++ front-end)?

I'm happy to volunteer to be a maintainer again for C++. I was an FSF maintainer for C++ pre-egcs split, and as egcs came into being, I asked at that time for write access, but it hadn't been set up yet. If someone would like to recommend me to the SC, be my guest.
