On the typo fix, I just looked close again at the differences between 3.3 and 3.4 and it occured to me that the unfixed Makefile.in tricked you into thinking that libstdcxx_incdir needs to be AC_SUBSTed and passed down in the Makefiles. I think this isn't needed at all, both ./configure.in and ./gcc/configure.in call ./config.if directly to construct gxx_include_dir with a replaced libstdcxx_incdir for the Makefile.
