GCC 2.95.3 patch for GLIBC 2.2+?

Subject: GCC 2.95.3 patch for GLIBC 2.2+?

Are there any patches available to allow GCC 2.95.3 to work with GLIBC 2.2
upwards?  I believe the stock version does not as it's atexit reference
is in crtendS.o, whereas glibc's atexit is in libc_nonshared.a.  There may
be some other issues too.

Any ideas?
