Before I get around to adding that, are the other changes OK?  They're
better than what was there before, I think, so if I don't hear soon I'll
put on my web page co-maintainer hat and just do it (although I blew it
the last time I changed that page).

Gerald or Joseph, could you also take another look at the additions for
compat.texi?  The previous versions got some comments but I haven't
heard anything about the most recent one, at
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2002-10/msg00605.html.
